Management fee:

NWPIM will charge client accounts on Assets Under Management (AUM) as an annual discretionary management fee under one of the tiered fee schedules below.  Schedule 1 will apply to accounts solely invested in one of NWPIM’s Liquid Portfolios and which have been funded only with cash. Schedule 2 will apply to all other accounts.

The management fee is calculated based on your average daily account value and is withdrawn from your account on a monthly basis.

 

Custody, trading, and transaction fees: 

An annual custody fee of up to 8bps (0.08%) is charged directly by the account custodian institution, CI Investments Services (“CIIS”), and is withdrawn from your account on a monthly basis. 

 

Trading transaction fees will be charged by CIIS as per below:

Administrative fees:

Fees relating to the administration of your account at CIIS are charged directly by CIIS; for a full list of such fees, please see the following link: https://www.cifinancial.com/ci-is/ca/en/administrative-fees.html.

 

Indirect fee(s): 

All Management Expense Ratio (MER)1 on 3rd party investment products in the model portfolios are charged within the products themselves. Depending on the type of model portfolio you own, MERs of the 3rd party investment products can range anywhere from approx. 0.10% to approx. 2.00% (or greater in isolated cases).  Performance fees, where applicable, may be incremental to the noted percentages.2

 

Tax(es):

Depending on your province of residence, the management and performance fees you pay are also subject to sales taxes.

 

Notes

1 The Management Expense Ratio (MER) represents the combined total of the management fee, operating expenses and taxes charged to a fund during a given year expressed as a percentage of a fund's average net assets for that year.

 

2 On select 3rd party investment products, a performance fee may be charged on excess returns when the investment returns exceed a specified performance benchmark.
