Overview
Network Wealth requires that you provide a valid Canadian ID before your funds can be invested on your behalf.
The purpose of this article is to help you understand what Network Wealth accepts as valid ID in the event that your account requires manual review.
ID Requirements
Network Wealth requires that the ID you use for your account creation:
- Is valid and current (not expired)
- Is issued by either a Canadian federal, provincial, or territorial government
- Indicates your name
- Includes a matching photo
- Includes a unique identifying number
Accepted IDs
Below are the types of IDs that Network Wealth will accept.

- Provincial driver’s licenses
- Canadian passports
- Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Resident Cards (PRC)
- Provincial health (only for BC and QC)*, or other service cards
- Provincial ID/age of majority cards
- Federal Military ID
- Federal Indian Status cards
* Note: In some instances, certain types of health cards may not be accepted - in which case, we might ask you to provide another form of ID. | - Birth certificates
- Social security number cards
- NEXUS cards **
- Health cards without a photo ID
** Note: while valid for travel and as photo ID, NEXUS cards are issued by the US government and therefore not valid Canadian ID. |
